Safeguarding & wellbeing

Safe children can learn freely.

A caring school culture depends on clear routines, attentive adults, respectful relationships, and families who know how safety concerns are handled.

Our safety promise

Protection is part of every moment, not a separate activity.

Safety includes the environment children enter, the adults around them, how information is handled, how emotions are supported, and how concerns are escalated.

Policy noteThis page presents recommended public commitments. Before production launch, school management should review it against actual procedures, identify named safeguarding leads, and publish formally approved policy documents.

Everyday commitments

What families should be able to expect.

Secure arrival & collection

Children should only leave with authorised adults, supported by clear family communication and collection records.

Attentive supervision

Learning spaces, transitions, play, meals, and rest require active, age-appropriate adult supervision.

Health information

Families should share allergies, medical needs, emergency contacts, and changes that affect a child’s care.

Prepared responses

Staff need clear procedures for incidents, first aid, emergencies, documentation, and family notification.

Respectful behaviour

Children deserve guidance that protects dignity, encourages self-regulation, and never relies on humiliation.

Clear accountability

Concerns should be recorded, escalated, reviewed, and handled according to current school policy and Kenyan requirements.

Safety questions

Ask until you feel confident.

Safeguarding information should be clear, current, and easy for every family to access.

Families should provide an approved collection list and notify the school of changes through the agreed communication channel. The exact identification and handover procedure must be confirmed with school management.
